what fun to photograph this sweet family today! not only do they have 2 oh-so-sweet twins (!!!) but, they have an adorable 4 year old and, a handsome young 2 year old. they could not be more sweet.. all of them. thank you so much for having me in your home this afternoon… it was such a pleasure working with you all. enjoy the sneak peek!

what an adorable little “dude”.. he was so cute!! the weather held out for us… and mr. “d” could not have been happier and more content what a nice morning at Cooper Park… i really enjoyed hearing the story about this little guys arrival into the world!! wow! enjoy your sneak peek!

“My mother has carefully archived our annual family Christmas pictures. Open the album cover – the first image is from 1969, my older sister is a brand new baby held by my parents. Keep flipping and you’ll see our family transform over 38 years! Until the last picture, 12 of us – my parents, siblings, their spouses and the next generation all together at a family wedding. But, if my mother is nearby, she will surely say some version of the following, “Those pictures are a prized possession but, in all those years, we’ve never taken a picture without someone shedding tears!” And, she’s right, it’s true. Somehow the portrait-making process always caused enough frustration that one of us broke down. When I became a mom I knew two things: I would continue the tradition of an annual family Christmas portrait, and, I would try my hardest to make it an experience that was not tear-provoking – maybe even fun??? Having Erin shoot our pictures has been the answer. First, let me say, the images that Erin creates are stunning. Her focus on simplicity allows personality to shine through. She has a knack for capturing the right moment, expression, emotion – especially with children. I always get rave reviews on our photo cards! boys will be boys.. we blew bubbles, found snakes (really.. a snake.. eww! haha), ate tootsie rolls, and played baseball. well, i didn’t do any of those things but, i sure had fun capturing those moments! this family was a real treat to work with.. very laid back and, down to earth. it was such a pleasure to work with them and, capture them in their element. enjoy the sneak peek!
